friday favorites.

Happy Friday kids!  Not much of a Friday for me unfortunately.  I'll be working all weekend.  Gotta make that money :)

1.  Apparently a lot of bloggers have traveling on their minds.  Several have done posts on what to pack or what to wear while traveling this week.  Lucky for me because next week I am going to Nashville and Chicago for a little vacation!  Check out these travel tips here, here, and here.
2.  Speaking of my vacation...I plan on stopping by imogene+willie while I am in Nashville next week.  Their shop has been all over the blogosphere lately.  I am so excited to check it out in person!  Here is a sneak peek into their "home."
2.  I thought this recipe looked absolutely amazing (and quick and easy).  So last night, I decided to try it out.  It was delicious!  I highly recommend it.
3.  I always love a good gallery wall.  This gallery wall in Emily Henderson's apartment was no exception.  I thoroughly enjoyed this little glimpse into her home.

friday favorites.

Hooray for the weekend!  Tomorrow is the big Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  I am so proud that I surpassed my fundraising goal for the event with the support of my friends and family!  I am really excited to run (probably more like slowly jog) the race.  I haven't run in a race in a few years!

Here are some of my favorite posts from the week:

1.  I personally think kids look pretty freaking cute in hipster clothes.  Especially this kid from Zara Girl's lookbook.
2.  After sharing my love for pretty stamps earlier this week, I came across this post on Madewell's Blog about vintage stamps.  I love the idea of using vintage stamps to create unique wedding invitations.
3.  Holiday Gift Guide by Emily Henderson?  Yes please.  I have a feeling this gift guide will not disappoint.  It is scheduled to be released November 1st...just in time for your holiday shopping.
4.  I loved this post on Dwell Studio Fall 2011 catalog.  Their mid-century inspired furniture is beautiful.

?!?!?!

How on earth have I missed Secrets from a Stylist for so long?!?!?!  I followed Emily Henderson on DesignStar and loved her.  Now that I don't have cable, I couldn't keep up with her new TV show.  I  recently figured out you could watch the episodes at HGTV.com and I have been watching Secrets from a Stylist non-stop.  I am pretty much obsessed with Emily Henderson and her amazing talent.  I love how the rooms she designs are never fussy and that there is always a mid-century piece thrown in.  I also really enjoy Emily Henderson as a host.  She has a very relaxed approach to decorating and you can tell she really loves her job.  Yep, it is pretty much my new favorite show.
