This kitchen has a little bit of all my favorite things:  white cabinetry, mid century modern chairs, a little splash of blue, and beautiful light fixtures.  So perfect.

Rich blues as an accent color? Love. Also, I think this room by Cassandra Lavalle of coco+kelley is beautiful. Elegant and sophisticated yet simple and fresh. She really knows how to incorporate the hollywood regency style into a space.

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

I'm headed to the beach this weekend to celebrate the 4th! My beach weekend inspired this polyvore creation (this was my first adventure creating on polyvore)! I wish I had all of these fun things to bring with me! I do have this month's issue of InStyle which will be coming with me :)

I've Got the Blues

Check out this beautiful blue painted desk featured in this months Lowe's Creative Ideas magazine! I'm not crazy about the DIY project featuring this desk but I love this shade of blue! It is just the right blend of royal blue and navy (it looks even more vibrant in the magazine...this picture doesn't do it justice!). The color is Midnight Bayou by Valspar Signature Colors in a satin finish. I'm definitely going to keep this color in mind for future projects!
