lately.

charleston + fresh flowers.

lately.

1.  Newly planted flower boxes.  I love seeing these pretty flowers as I drive up to our house.
2.  Louie is so silly.  He will sleep anywhere- like on our coffee table, on top of a pile of books.
3.  Another DIY project- our new tripod lamp.  The BF and I really love this style of lamp but not how expensive they cost in stores.  So, the BF decided to make one for us!  It turned out great.
4.  A beautiful day at Freedom Park.  My favorite spot to hang out and enjoy the outdoors here in Charlotte.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

lately.

1.  My bed on a lazy Sunday morning after sleeping in.
2.  Out for tasty coffee with the BF.
3.  WIWS- What I Wore Saturday.
4.  This week's flowers- pretty hydrangeas.
5.  Lovely view on a walk over the bridge.
6.  Louie likes to hang out in my suitcase.

Happy Monday!

lately.

1.  View from the bridge in Charleston while out for a walk.
2.  Louie:  my sleeping beauty.
3.  My new brass horseshoe purchased at Alice & Daisy vintage.
4.  Spotted this beautiful kilim rug the other day.
5.  Stamp + stationary kit from Besotted Brand.
6.  Nothing like a fresh cup of coffee in the mornings.
7.  Fresh tulips from my last grocery store run.
8.  Yummy caprese salad.  One of my favorites to make.

lately.

1.  Christmas wrapping doesn't get done very quickly with Louie around.
2.  Louie being stinkin' cute.
3.  An outfit post for Audrey- how I styled my new Madewell boots - with an Anthropologie lace top + skinny ankle pants.
4.  The BF got me a new basket for my bike for Christmas (we exchanged presents early)!
5.  Beautiful blue skies while on the road the other day.  I probably shouldn't be taking iPhone pictures while driving but I just couldn't help myself!
6.  Flowers of the week: white jumbo mums in my favorite antique glass beaker.

a couple things.

A little while ago, I spotted some new beakers for sale at a local design store for $18 each.  I loved the idea of using a beaker as a vase but I figured I could find some beakers cheaper elsewhere.  On my last trip to Charlotte, I found this vintage beaker at an antique mall for just $9.  It is my new favorite "vase."  I especially love it paired with these hydrangeas I picked up at the grocery store this week.

I also recently purchased Design*Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney.  It is a great book and the layout is wonderful.  I was really impressed with how the book really felt like an extension of the Design*Sponge blog.  My favorite part of the book was the "sneak peek" into people's homes.  I am always wondering what the inside of people's homes look like.  Is anyone else as obsessed with this as I am?  Anyways, the book has some beautiful homes featured.  Definitely worth a look!

flowers + louie.

Picked up some flowers at the supermarket today.  I think they are pretty lovely.  Apparently Louie thinks so too.  He tried to make it in every photo with these flowers.  Silly cat.

words of wisdom.

Something I need to work on as of late.

I bought these hydrangeas at the grocery store today.  So pretty.

on a walk.

Yesterday, I went for a walk along the Battery here in Charleston and I decided to snap some pictures along the way.  Charleston is such a beautiful city.  I feel so lucky to live here!

Happy Thursday!
