spring style.

I'm currently at that crossroads which all women go through where I feel like I have absolutely nothing to wear. So, I've been on the lookout for spring style inspiration. Particularly, in search of more classic styles that will be staples in my closet. I came across these looks over at TENOVERSIX and fell in love with them. They are so simple and classic. And I also love the backgrounds that so beautifully compliment these looks.

lately.

1.  Finally got around to "styling" a bit around the house.  It has made such a huge difference.
2.  Made one of my favorite homemade desserts for Easter Sunday- angel food cake.
3.  Newest addition to our gallery wall- "I'm So Happy" print by TwoSarahs.
4.  Spring has arrived and I'm loving the pretty flowers blooming in our yard.
5.  Another "styling" shot with my favorite design books + John Kostick bronze star.
6.  GPOC- gratuitous picture of my cat.

Today's inspiration:  The Herschel Supply Co. Spring 2012 lookbook. Makes me ready for warm sunny days by the water.  It also has me thinking that maybe I can pull off a cropped top like the model.  I love her retro summer look.  Maybe?

spring.

Thanks for all your kind comments about my gallery wall!  It is so nice to get such positive feedback :)

Hope you had a lovely weekend.  Mine was spent planting flowers and enjoying the amazing weather.  It seems I can't spend enough time outdoors these days!  I am so glad Spring is officially upon us.

Happy Tuesday!

With the longer days and warmer weather, I feel like Spring has almost arrived.  These images have me so excited about the beautiful greenery that is soon to come.

style resolution.

Loving these looks from Madewell's Spring 2012 collection.  These looks have inspired me to resolve to wear more dresses and skirts in the coming year.  I currently spend way too much time in skinny jeans.

on a walk.

Yesterday, I went for a walk along the Battery here in Charleston and I decided to snap some pictures along the way.  Charleston is such a beautiful city.  I feel so lucky to live here!

Happy Thursday!

spring cleaning.

This morning I cleaned out the "inspiration" folder on my computer. It is funny looking back at the things I had saved. Some of them I couldn't find a single thing I liked about them! So, off to the recycle bin they went. I did find a lot of images that I am still very much in love with. Here are some of my favorites. It appears I am into anything rustic and simplistic today.

noteworthy.

I love letters.  Getting them, giving them, and buying them.  For whatever reason I feel like my note cards should match the current season.  Since spring is just around the corner I decided it was time for some new spring and summer note cards.

I found these turquoise and white letterpress cards at Slate Interiors on my last trip to Charlotte.  They are by Carrot and Stick Press.  I love all things letterpress and thought the turquoise blue was perfect for spring.  Then, I found these lovely Asian botanical cards on my last trip to World Market.  I love the flowers and the gold mixed in with all the bright colors.

I can't wait to send some notes with these lovely note cards!!!

feels like spring.

I am loving today.  It has been 75 degrees and sunny.  I went and walked the Cooper River Bridge this morning and enjoyed the fabulous weather.  Then I came back to my apartment where these beautiful trees are in bloom.  Days like today remind me of how wonderful it is to live in Charleston!

hints of spring.

Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Charleston.  The sun was shining with the highs in the low 60s.  I wore a sweater and was perfectly comfortable.  I ate my lunch outside and enjoyed the great weather.  Overall, just a great day.  Now I am desperately wishing for Spring to come...

Happy Monday!
