My new rug found a new home.
Before
After
Much better in my opinion! I originally had the new rug in the dining room but it was a little too large for the space. So, I moved it into the living room and it works so much better than the little rug that was in there.
I think I am going to use the old rug as an outdoor rug out on my porch in the future. Right now my porch is condemned (the builder didn't build it to code) but it should be fixed soon...I hope. It would be nice to use on days like we had this past weekend (75 degrees and sunny!).
This weekend I also bought this chiang mai dragon pillow from WillaSkye on Etsy after much thought (and after my BF telling me to quit debating and just buy the darn thing). It is going on my bed and I can't wait for it to get here!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

charlotte
So, Friday I mentioned that I was going antique shopping in Charlotte with my wonderful friend Allyson. Well, I had the BEST TIME! Me and Allyson both had some luck out shopping.
First stop we went to Post and Grey (which is now my new favorite store BTW). They had some really cute stuff! It was a nice mix of old and new as well as expensive vs. bargain finds. Of course I stuck to the bargain finds but there were some gorgeous Madeline Weinrib rugs that I was tempted to splurge on. Anyways, I fell in love with this amazing mid-century coffee table. Even though it was a little pricey I bought it! I am SO pleased with my purchase. I can't wait to use it in my new place (whenever I find it and move that is).
For lunch we went to Amelie's French Bakery. The place is so cute and the food is delicious. Especially the desserts!
We ended our day at South Park Mall doing a little clothes shopping. Overall, it was a great day. It doesn't get better than a whole day of shopping and hanging out with one of your best friends!

Next, we went to several antique stores in the Charlotte area. Allyson found the cutest vintage cross-stitch Christmas sign. I wish I had a picture of it to share! She also found a old framed portrait for her mom. While out we came across this amazing little rustic trunk that was too cute but neither me nor Allyson had any room for it. So, sadly we left it behind. Hopefully someone else will come across this little treasure and find a home for it!

Bedroom Makeover Updates
Here are the updates to my bedroom makeover...lots of projects...none are really completed but its a work in progress!
pillows:
Here are the pillows I ordered from ModDiva! I LOVE them but I don't think they are right for my bedroom makeover. Since I do love them so much I am keeping them to use elsewhere.
diy:
A little DIY project I did recently. I had this tray that I bought in Gatlinberg, TN, on a trip. I really liked it before but it didn't really go with my decor. One can of white spray paint took care of that...

| After- Perfect! |
I added some furniture to my space (stuff I had previously) like my bedside table...
and this chest of drawers...I am on the hunt for the perfect mirror to go above it!
art:
And I'm working on a gallery wall for the room...here are some quote cards that I framed (frames $5 each on sale at Sears Grand). I have some other things I want to frame but haven't gotten around to them yet. So, when I get several pieces framed I'll hang them up on the wall.My next art project will go over my bed (where the window frame is currently). I am going to frame two of these calendar prints (calendar bought for $4.95 on sale at Anthro!!!) in the frame shown here. The only thing left to do is to get the mats custom cut for the prints then I'll have them up in a jiffy! Louie is overseeing this project (as you can see)...he really enjoys projects involving birds.
That's all for now!
New Throw Pillows!!!
Just bought some new throw pillows for my bedroom makeover from ModDiva! Aren't they so cute?! I hope they are just as cute when they get here! Yay :)
