Hope you had a lovely weekend.  I spent the last five days in Charleston by the beach with some of my favorite people to witness a dear friend's wedding.  It was wonderful.

Lots of good times going on in my life lately.

1.  Louie hanging out in his teepee.  My Christmas gift to the little furball!  

2.  Madewell boots I got on sale in the store.  They were a little out of my comfort zone but I really like them so far!

3-4.  Some pictures from my friend Lauren's wedding.  These ladies are some of my closest friends in the entire world.  This year will be our 10 year anniversary as friends.  Is it weird that we are keeping track and planning an anniversary dinner to celebrate?

5-6.  Date night with the BF at Cowfish in Charlotte.  Their sushi is amazing.  Well worth the long wait for a table!

It's Friday!!!  I am so excited for this weekend.  One of my best friends is getting married on Saturday!  I can't wait to see her tie the knot and celebrate with some of my favorite people :)

holiday weekend.

I can't believe the holiday weekend is already over.  I had a great Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends.  I am so thankful to have such wonderful people in my life.

My weekend included:

a yummy thanksgiving dinner at my dad's house - playing lots of cornhole and board games - wedding dress shopping with one of my best friends who is getting married -  lots of nap time - hunting for the perfect christmas tree - putting up decorations while listening to christmas music - date night with the bf - watching college football with friends - and finally a nice relaxing sunday at home :)

 I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend as well!

home again.

I am back from a wonderful trip to Nashville and Chicago.  I had the best time visiting friends and family.  My trip included: spending some quality time with my Nana,  lunch at my late aunt's restaurant Dumplin's, a short road trip to have dinner + drinks with one of my favorite friends, wandering around lovely Franklin, TN, exploring Chicago with my "forever roomie," going out for Halloween dressed up as a crazy cat lady, an amazing dinner at Girl and the Goat, and a hilarious comedy show at Second City.

 It was an amazing trip but I am so glad to be home :)

my weekend.

One of my best friends, Amy, came into town this weekend.  We spent our Sunday on the beach at Sullivan's Island enjoying the perfect weather.  It was seriously one of the most beautiful days...blue skies, cool breeze, and the water was the perfect temperature.  While laying out in the sun reading, there was this little seagull who decided to hang out with us (literally he just scurried around our spot on the beach all day).  I managed to snap a picture of the little guy.

We spent a lot of time eating at some fun restaurants around Charleston:  Sunday brunch at Triangle, margaritas and dinner at Taco Boy downtown, fro-yo at FreshBerry, and breakfast at the Lost Dog cafe on Folly (it was my first visit to the Lost Dog and it was delicious!).

Other than stuffing our faces all weekend, we explored Charleston and caught up on life.  Last night, we stayed up late just chatting in our pajamas before bed.   It felt like we were back in our old dorm room at Clemson!  Definitely a great weekend.

One of my sorority sisters sent out these pictures of our senior year recruitment week.  If we were all still in college right now, we would be spending night and day at Delta Zeta recruitment.  I seriously miss my college days sometimes....even the crazy hectic week of rush.  I had to post these pictures because they make me so happy.  Miss these pretty ladies so much!

Another crazy weekend has come and gone.  I had a wonderful time here in Charleston with my friends.  We had a very stereotypical Charleston bachelorette party weekend which was a lot of fun.  We played "pin the junk on the hunk," got all gussied up with bachelorette paraphernalia to accessorize, and danced on the bar at Market Street Saloon.  Definitely a great time.

This past weekend was the fourth weekend in a row living out of my suitcase (even though I stayed in Charleston this weekend, I stayed in a hotel with the rest of the girls).  Although I have been on some great trips recently, I am very much looking forward to a much slower pace in the coming weeks.

vintage finds.

As I have recently posted, I have been working to make my bookshelves look "decorated."  I recently added two new vintage finds to my bookshelves. While I was in Charlotte a couple weekends ago, I got to spend some time with my lovely friend Allyson.  Since we both love antique/thrift shopping, we went to the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall.  We shopped for a long time (the place is HUGE!) and both came out with a few items.  I bought a porcelain glove mold and an antler.  I have added both items to my bookshelves and I love them. I feel like I am so close now to having these shelves properly "decorated."

Yesterday, I spent a nice relaxing afternoon at the beach with some friends.  It was nice to just enjoy the sunshine, catch up with friends, and read a good book (i.e. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows).

This past weekend I went to Savannah with some of my favorite sorority sisters for a bachelorette weekend.  We had an amazing time together.  A little crazy and out of control at times but I wouldn't expect anything less from this crew!  So glad I only have to wait a few more weeks until we are all together again at the wedding :)
