whew!

I took my exam this morning and I PASSED!   I am now an Oncology Certified Nurse!  I am so happy.  I have been studying for this exam for months and I am glad to have it behind me.  Now I can get back to my regular blogging schedule and get excited about the upcoming holidays :)

Speaking of the holidays...I can't believe Thanksgiving is next week!  I am very much looking forward to spending some time with my friends and family.

I know.  Of ALL the beautiful pictures in Lonny, this is my favorite.

urban cottage.

I don't know why but I am in love with the idea of the "urban cottage."  I have always tried to accurately describe my style and I think "urban cottage" is it.  A little new and a little old.   A little modern and a little traditional.  Loved this spread in Lonny.

gray is here to stay

In the latest issue of Lonny, Farrow and Ball announced their prediction for the hottest colors of 2011.  Of course, gray was at the top of the list.  As a huge fan of the color gray, I am so excited to see this color trend sticking around for another year! 

What are your thoughts?  Still crazy about the color gray or so over it?

 Obviously, when I got an email yesterday saying the new issue of Lonny was live I was ecstatic and immediately clicked on the link.  While perusing the pages I was absolutely mesmerized by the feature on Angel Dormer's home.  It has such personality.  I love the overall retro vibe.  And the artwork?  AMAZING.

Wishing I was having my breakfast here. What a view! This little villa is for sale if you have a couple million dollars to spare.

The new issue of Lonny came out yesterday! I can't decide if I should go ahead and read it today after work or wait until Wednesday morning (my day off) and enjoy it with my cup of coffee. Tough decision. Happy Monday!

white bed linens

 I've been going back and forth with the idea that white linens are a must for any bedroom.  My thoughts were confirmed when flipping through the bedroom images from Lonny.  Almost all of the rooms featured have white bed linens.  The rooms just look so clean and crisp.  Its white bed linens only from here on out for me!

rue-la-la

So, I am excited about the premiere issue of rue magazine coming out next week! I think it's awesome that a group of bloggers are making a dream of theirs into a reality. I am intrigued to see the magazine's layout, articles, and overall feel. It looks like the creators have put a lot of time and effort into making this a great magazine from the images "leaked" out into blog land. Still, I can't help but feel like I'm waiting to see how it compares to Lonny. What are your thoughts on rue? Do you rue?
