This past weekend Sean and I traveled to Charleston to see my little brother get married. The wedding was lovely and I am so happy for my brother and his new wife! I love that my family is growing as we all get married. It makes our family gatherings much more fun! Needless to say, we had a wonderful time with family in our favorite city.

While in Charleston, we decided to treat our trip like a mini vacation and stayed in a rental downtown. We found this quaint and perfectly decorated little Freedman cottage on airbnbIt even had a fiddle leaf fig tree. I was in love. Highly recommend this spot for a relaxing stay.

Happy Monday friends.

I love the...

no. 01: brass hardware and marble top island

no. 02: industrial style sconces and geometric wallpaper

no. 03: exposed beams and black + white claw foot tub

no. 04:  hex tile floor and green glass jugs

We had a lovely time in Nashville this weekend. We ate at some amazing restaurants, checked out all the different neighborhoods around the city, explored historic downtown Franklin, and spent time with one of my best friends.  Of course, we watched the Superbowl as well.  The BF is a huge Ravens fan and we were so excited when they won!  And I thoroughly enjoyed the half-time show with Beyonce and the surprise bit by Destiny's Child.  It was amazing. I secretly wish I could dance as sexy as Beyonce can.  Girl can move :)

Happy Tuesday.

weekend.

The BF and I are off to Nashville tomorrow to explore the city for a few days!  I am so excited.  We have been doing our homework and have a bunch of places and restaurants we want to check out. The city guides by Design*Sponge and Elise of Pennyweight were particularly helpful in finding fun spots to visit.  We also found this cozy little cottage on airbnb to stay at during our trip!  It is going to be a great weekend :)

Here are some things that I have enjoyed this week:

Some pretty home inspiration over at Minna May.
A mid-century inspired brass lamp from UO.
Simple fashion tips from a J.Crew stylist.
Looking forward to trying this recipe for penne + brussel sprouts.

Happy weekend friends.

back home.

Band of Outsider's Nicole Cari has a wonderful aesthetic.  Things that I adore about her home:  the ivy sprawling over the outdoor walls, the matching mid-century modern chairs, and of course the artwork.

Hope you had a lovely weekend.  I enjoyed a nice long weekend in Pennsylvania with the BF and his family.  We went up for their annual Halloween party.  This year's theme was nursery rhymes and fairy tales- we went as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.  It was a ton of fun.  And luckily we made it home safely before Frankenstorm struck!

Happy Monday.

simple.

Loving the simplicity of this space.

Hope you had a lovely weekend.  I spent the last five days in Charleston by the beach with some of my favorite people to witness a dear friend's wedding.  It was wonderful.

lately.

I have been really happy with my little home as of late.  It feels like it is almost complete.

This weekend the BF and I drove to Maryland for a friend's wedding.  The couple wrote their own vows and there was not a dry eye in the house.  It was so sweet.

Hope you felt some love this weekend too.  Happy Monday.

A weekend without a single thing planned.  There has been lots of lounging on the couch with Louie and watching of Mad Men.  It has been quite pleasant.

Happy Sunday.

weekend.

This past weekend the BF and I headed to Asheville for a short getaway.  We toured the Biltmore house, milled around downtown, went antique store hunting, and ate lots of delicious food.  It was quite nice.

weekend in charleston.

This past weekend was a great one.  The BF and I went to Charleston this past weekend for my birthday.  Friday night we met up with my family for dinner, cake, and fireworks to celebrate!  Saturday we spent the day exploring the city and visiting some of our favorite spots.  We ended the day with a great concert - City and Colour.  And before heading back to Charlotte on Sunday, we spent our last few hours soaking up the sun on the beach.  It was an amazing weekend- from beginning to end.
