It is official.  I now live in Charlotte, NC!  Moving day was a little bit rough.  It was cold and rainy the entire day which put a damper on our move (pun intended).  We finally got everything moved in though.  I am now in the process of unpacking the many boxes and finding a home for everything.

As I have been unpacking, I have been thinking a lot about how I want to decorate our home. I have decided I would like a neutral color palette with some pattern thrown in to keep things interesting.  These rooms have just the right mix of both.

I finally got dining room chairs!  I can't believe it has taken me six months to bite the bullet on these chairs.  I have posted about my love for the Eames side chairs before and I am so happy to have some in my own home.  They are not the real deal but they are a very quality reproduction.  I purchased them through DesignerSeating on Amazon.  I was very pleased with my transaction with them.  I ordered the chairs on Monday and they arrived at my doorstep on Thursday! 


I am so excited to have a place to sit and eat dinner.  The BF is coming in town tonight.  I think I am going to make us some pasta.  I can't wait to enjoy a nice sit down dinner (i.e. not eating on the couch) with him :)

Purple + gray = I'm in love.  Let's point out why this room is so perfect, shall we?  Purple painted ceiling, perfect gray cabinetry, beautiful chandelier with shade, minimalist dining table and chairs, and painted hardwood floors.  Yep, perfect in every way.
