monday...monday...

Hello friends. Hope you had a lovely weekend. Sean and I tried out a couple new-to-us restaurants around town and enjoyed the nice weather. I also tried to get back into a workout routine. Keyword here is tried. Let's just say a fifteen minute jog kicked my butt. Although I'm disappointed with my performance, I know I need to keep with it. I'm going to try out a hip hop dance class tonight. Hopefully its fun!

Here are a few of my favorite things this week:
This beautiful Copenhagen home. I just love the huge windows overlooking the patio.

This wreath-making brunch among friends. Looks like so much fun.

This light and bright living room. I love all the potted plants.

Hello friends. Hope you had a lovely weekend. I was so glad to have some friends from college in town Thursday and  Friday. We had a blast playing tourist, going out for drinks, and catching up!

The rest of the weekend was spent sprucing up our little home. We spent a lot of time working on the outside- pulling weeds, putting down new mulch, and adding a pot of flowers to the porch to improve the curb appeal (which was seriously lacking!). It looks so much better now. We even discovered a beautiful flat rock path leading from the sidewalk to the front porch hiding under some over grown grass and weeds! Totally worth the few hours of hard work :)

Here are a few things I've been loving lately...
This beautiful portrait featuring taxidermy.

These words of wisdom- so very important to remember.

This amazing modern farmhouse with its perfect wrap around porch.

Happy Monday.

This week is going to be a busy one. This Saturday we are moving to Nashville! I am filled with mixed emotions. Happy and sad. Excited and scared.

Here are a few beautiful things that are keeping my stress levels in check...
This studio visit with artist Britt Bass (via Michelle Armas).

This Proud Mary lookbook shot by the talented Olivia Rae James.

Another beautiful studio-the space of landscape designer Miranda Brooks.

Happy Monday friends.

Feeling a bit under the weather today. Darn allergies. The doc thinks it could be my dear Louie wreaking havoc on my allergies even though I've had him for years. Fingers-crossed it is just seasonal so I don't have to banish Lou from our bedroom.

Here are a few things brightening my day...

This charming patio with beautiful climbing ivy.

This amazing living room. How great is that rug? And that couch too!

This braised cabbage recipe.  I am going to try this out tonight.
Happy Monday.

I'm tuckered out after working all weekend long.  Wishing I was lounging in this beautiful home with amazing light.

Some things I have been enjoying lately:

Making festive v-day pretzels.
Gorgeous photos of Charleston.
Louie's new sophisticated pet food bowls.
Fashion recap of the Grammy Awards.

Happy Monday.

the makers.

I am loving these photographs from Jennifer Causey's The Makers Project.  The project provides a glimpse into the people behind some amazing artisan-made products.  I especially love getting a sneak peek into the spaces where these creatives work.  Check out more of the project here.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  It is now less than a week until Christmas!  I just can't believe it.  Today, I will be finishing my Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, and picking up groceries for Christmas dinner.  Happy Monday!

happy.

I am blown away by these photographs by Max Wanger.  Each photograph seems to exude happiness in its own way.    I always love a little bit of happy to start the week :)

I had a wonderful weekend with the BF.   He actually surprised me and showed up early on Wednesday!  We spent the weekend trying new recipes, wandering around the farmer's market at Marion Square, eating at Cru Cafe, and just relaxing on the couch.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  Happy Monday.

Another crazy weekend has come and gone.  I had a wonderful time here in Charleston with my friends.  We had a very stereotypical Charleston bachelorette party weekend which was a lot of fun.  We played "pin the junk on the hunk," got all gussied up with bachelorette paraphernalia to accessorize, and danced on the bar at Market Street Saloon.  Definitely a great time.

This past weekend was the fourth weekend in a row living out of my suitcase (even though I stayed in Charleston this weekend, I stayed in a hotel with the rest of the girls).  Although I have been on some great trips recently, I am very much looking forward to a much slower pace in the coming weeks.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Thank goodness I am not working today.  I went to the beach yesterday (yay!) but didn't use sunscreen like I am supposed to.  My back is fried (boo!).   Today I will be staying indoors and applying LOTS of aloe vera.  Hopefully tomorrow I will look slightly less like a lobster.

Happy Monday.
